About The Artist
Craig is a self taught artist with no formal training. As a very small child he enjoyed dot to dot art books, fascinated by a picture appearing from the page. When a little older he used to try to copy cartoon characters from comic books with varying degrees of success and progressed to more accomplished work in secondary school.
On leaving school he had various jobs and eventually started his own family, so there was little time for drawing. However, his love of drawing never left him and, as his family grew more independent, he returned to drawing in earnest. Researching new techniques and refining his craft until he felt confident enough to take on pencil portrait commissions, starting with dog portraits and moving on to human portraits and other subjects.
After a while he decided to give colour a try and enjoyed it, adding variety to his portfolio. It was suggested by a family member that he make cards using his artwork, which has resulted in the card selection you see here today.
